Race for the Cure

Tim, Brandt, and I walked the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday. I help organize the St. Mary's/Advantage Health team and we had 237 team members this year and raised over $8,200!!! We even won an award for being the biggest healthcare team. It was quite a success. The race gets bigger every year with more and more money going to fund breast cancer research.
It was an early morning; getting Brandt up, dressed, fed, and ready to "race". He loves his jogging stroller and was so wowed by all the people, noises, and commotion, that he fell asleep for most of the race!!

Duck Lake Weekend

We spent the weekend with Tim's family at this cabin on Duck Lake, near Traverse City. The weather could've been better but we still had a fun, relaxing weekend.

Fishing fun

We spent the weekend with our friends, Blair and Lisa, at Fremont Lake. Tim and Blair were very excited about fishing. And they caught some winners!! We stayed at Lisa's parents newly refurbished cottage, which is beautiful!! We had a great dinner, pontoon boat ride, and ended our day with a campfire and s'mores. Great fun....

Labor Day Weekend

We spent Labor Day weekend at my parents cottage on Big Star Lake. What a gorgeous weekend! The weather was perfect and it sure didn't feel like the end of summer.

Here is Brandt "enjoying" the lake, apparently the water is not quite warm enough.

Brandt is such a good sleeper at the cottage. He loves being outside and sleeping in the breeze.
